Interview with Howard Nichola

In early 2021 Howard Nichola was one of only three known WW II survivors from the 254th Engineer Battalion.  Zach Clouse, whose great uncle served with the 254th in WW II, was doing research about his uncle's WW II experiences.  He contacted the Association seeking information and possible contacts with WW II vets.  We were able to put him in touch with MSG(ret) Joe Battisfore and Howard.  Through the efforts of Zach, with tremendous assistance from MSG(ret) Battisfore, he was able to interview Howard via Zoom in early 2021 about his WW II experiences. Here is a link to that excellent video. It’s about 6 minutes long.
